why do so many ppl think it's a bad thing to be gay, bi, or lesbian? i'm mean if your happy then why is it considered bad?

`i feel the same way. A girl at work made a comment about this butch girl that comes in, she doesnt know im bi im guessing, and it kinda pissed me off. People talk and think like that? its just awful.

`The people who think it is wrong are uneducated about the subject. They have been taught all their life that being Gay, Lesbian, or Bi is a sin and all people who have these feelings will go to hell. Well they are wrong! God accepts all people no matter what!

`People are so closed minded when they see something they dont understand they talk down on it. Most people cant tell im a lesbian either because i guess there diff of a lesbian is a chick who wears baggy clothes and talks like a guy. Which is stupid i hate people who talk down on people they dont even know. What they dont realize about me is i did date guys when i was younger and it wasnt my thing it felt weird. Someone once told me i was a lesbian because i was unhappy with my life and to the point of suicide so i became a lesbian for attention. That made me laugh and i said no actually you got that wrong. Pretending to be straight is what made me unhappy and i didnt become a lesbian i always have been a lesbian i only dated guys to make other people happy but now im doing what makes me happy..

`Most people are close minded to things they do not understand. Their childhood training is mostly based on mainstream thinking of just male female relationships to fit society's standards and encourage breeding.
Until we grow socially, different ------ preferences will be looked upon as a 'sin' and against the mainstream. Shamefully, even I cannot disclose myself to those in my life. There is a whole side of me that my loved ones do not know and I don't want to lose them.
I can only hope in time, differences in people can be accepted whether ------, racial, or whatever.
