Half way out still a long ways to go

Ok here goes. I'm 18 years old and lesbian. Yes my parents know....they are cool with it. My friends all know....they are cool with it. The only person that I wanna tell that I havn't is my boyfriend. I don't see me and him having anything longterm. I just don't know how to tell him. We've been going out for like 4 months..and he says I can tell him anything. I wish I knew how to tell him without breaking his heart. I do know that my next relationship will be with a woman. But to do my boyfriend needs to know I"m gay. I just wanna know how I should tell him. Straight forward? beat around the bush and bring it up in conversation?
