So my dad had been teasing me for two years before I even did anything with a girl, saying that I should just come out of the closet already. Well he did that while visiting me at school, and it was after I had started dating a girl. So I just told him, "Oh I am. I'm dating _____." My sister called me after they'd gotten home and told me that the parental units thought I was joking. She had to tell him that I wasn't. The rest of my family was fine with it when I brought her to a couple of the holidays. Although one of my aunts is still in denial about it. I think I would need to seriously pda in front of her for her to actually believe it though. My friends actually kinda egged me on to do stuff with the girl I was interested in. So I got very lucky.
