an awesome thought. unfortunately, alot of people are only in it for the short term. I personallly would love to see a lesbian couple that's been together forever, as long as a heterosexual couple with the house, kids and pta meetings, hell, I would love these trappings myself. |

Hey, it's something I've actually witnessed... Two female doctors who have been together for over 15 years, got the house, the cars etc... Not married but damn close enough!
But true, the lesbian scene here tends to be very enclosed... and a little bit incestuous if you ask me :/

I think it would be great if more lesbians got married and done the whole married life thing with house, kids, and all of it. I think it would actually be a better marriage than if it were a man and woman. Not many marriages between men & women work or are as good as they seem. I know from experience like the one I am in right now. But woman seem to understand each other better and better relationships I think it would probably be the perfect marriage. "Hopes for the future!"

I agree. I think it would be an awesome thing to marry your soulmate and the love of your life and be in a lesbian marriage. I know of some that have been together for years but weren't married. It is harder to get married when you are a lesbian these days, but when i find my soulmate, i know that i'm going to want all of that with her...marriage, house, cars..etc. It is a really great thought!

I should be so lucky. I want the house, and the pets, and maybe even the kids. I want the vows and the cake I want to grow old next to an incredible woman. Am I asking to much?

Well my wife and I are poor but nevertheless we've been together 6 years. Married for 2 years. Illinois has legal civil unions now though starting next year. Yay for us! We have two girls one is 8 and one is 14. My wife carried them and I am a stepmom but I first met the 14 year old when she was 8 and the 8 year old when she was 3. We have our ups and downs but we are completely committed to each other.
Glad to hear that you are still together. I met my wife on W4W on MSN chat years ago but I didn't really find her interesting online. I asked her to go to a bonfire just as a friendly suggestion and it was love at first sight. Ever since then 2004 I cannot believe it is so long now but I am still in love
