`I noticed that there are not many recent entries here or on the blogs. Also, it's hard to get responses from people. I think that's because a lot of the people are no longer active. For someone on a search, a limit of ten e-mails per day is not enough. I found that very discouraging. I was planning to send many more so I could at least find someone still using the site. Finally, why can't I get my picture up? I don't understand the technical problems with this.

We definitely encourage members to post within the forums and blog areas, and our hope is that over time that will begin to happen more and more.
At the moment though, you are correct. This site within the network has less activity in the areas you mentioned.
With regards to general activity within the site, we have begun a number of things to encourage members to log back into their accounts (and begin interacting with other members more).
We began sending out reminder email messages with auto-login links to encourage members to log back into their accounts. This has been highly succcessful, with large numbers of members who had been inactive for extended periods of time, logging back in.
Separately, we just began sending out Happy Birthday email messages to members, informing them of a free gift we give to every member on their birthday. These email messages also have an auto-login link and they have been VERY successful at bringing members back into the network.
Basically, we recognize that you have hit on some of the weaker areas within the site, and we wanted to let you know that we are working on them.
The limit of 10 email messages a day (to people you do not yet have a connection with) is not likely to change, as it helps to prevent spam within the network.
There is an option to double the number of daily email messages you can send from 10 to 20, but that upgrade requires Passions Points (which are detailed in your Wallet section, linked in the Account area).
While Passions Points cannot be bought, members can earn them by logging in daily, by joining our Facebook page, and by submitting videos into Video Directory.
With regards to your photo issue, all we can say is that we are seeing VERY large numbers of photos submitted on a daily basis...so the system seems to be working. Please review the photo restrictions at the bottom of the photo page for information on photo requirements/limitations.
If you continue to have trouble with a specific photo, try submitting other photos, so that you can see that the system works.
Hopefully on your next attempt, things will work smoothly.
If you continue to have photo trouble, you can contact us directly with more information on what is happening at feedback(at)passionsnetwork(dot)com.
Thanks,
.
