the elusive femme/femme push and pull

Explain to me why it is so difficult for two femmes to connect on a level that two from opposite polarities may achieve? Maybe I'm jaded from personal experience and am basing this theory/question on one girl. But am I the only one who feels as though it is a game in the world of dating that goes as follows?:
1. Only physical contact when both are intoxicated, and rarely even then
2. Only willing to express interest when the other is not
3. If one does express interest, it means that they are being "clingy" to the other, scaring the other off
4. Extreme self-consciousness from both parties about who is thinner vs who has bigger breasts...and jealousy stemming from that.
5. Constant pride-based repression of emotions and feelings because of fear that the other doesn't feel the same way, getting you NOWHERE.

So, this may just be me. But am I totally alone on this?

And I still seek femmes.
