Moving on with chapter two of my life I was in a long term relationship for 27 years and am now a widow. It has been very hard accepting this, but time does heal. I'm ready to move forward now. As for me, I would describe myself as strong, steady and faithful. I don't hike, white water raft, jog, climb mountains, or hang glide. I smoke and get depressed at the end of football season. I forget to take my cell phone and keys out of my pockets when I do laundry. They rarely work...but their clean. My sense of humor is coming back, and I'm looking for a good woman who wants to be with me more than anywhere else in the world. Someone who is ready to settle down and make a life with me. My biggest issues are centered around respect and kindness. Those two things are healthy for me and I respond to them. I just don't care for smart aleck remarks, snide or flippant attitudes. The world has enough of that already. I'm used to being the strong one in the relationship, making decisions when needed, taking control when necessary. I have a strong sense of compassion and empathy. What brings those things out in me is communication. I need someone who can talk to me...let me in. I love romance, flirting, sexy talk, all the best things in life between two people who are in love with each other. I am monogomous...period. No poly relationships, no fooling around, no "maybe's." I'm looking for a woman who wants to take care of me and be taken care of. Someone who wants not only a lover, but a best friend for life. Someone who's going to love me, not in spite of, but because of. I'm looking for a woman who loves "home" and all that goes with it.
