I am interested in adventure, repurposing/ creating new things from found items, my kids, backpacking, gardening, birdwatching, reading, volunteering for causes near to my heart. I "refuel" around moving water and the woods. Among my outlets is commuting by bike, travel, the arts, my church, friends, movies, singing, conservation, music (of many types), x-country skiing, walking my dog, practicing Spanish.
I want to learn to kayak and am learning yoga.
I am extroverted, an adventurer, loyal friend, creative, teacher, mother (kids 14 & 17), love the water and the woods and find a strong spiritual connection there. I am a cyclist, eclectic, need to move everyday. I try to keep my carbon footprint fairly small. I get along well with family. I'm open to change, accepting of foibles, love to travel, active member of my church (protestant, nonjudgmental kind), part of multiracial family, I have a supportive community but ready to meet new single friends. Life's journey includes great surprises - maybe we can grow a new friendship?
